Libraries are boring, they are often times are to concentrate in, and a lot of the time, you zone out because there's so little going on around you that you stop focussing and just stare out into space. According to a third year student, the library is an incredibly depressing environment, not nearly as warm and inviting as a coffee shop. At least, I do. I'm supposed to talk about the resources offered by going to the Library, but in my opinion, Starbucks is a much better place to study! By being there, you can get a good drink (way better than Jazzmin's), eavesdrop on conversations, and can enjoy the music. For example, I am listening to three different conversations, all in different languages! I am watching the baristas make a variety of drinks, intermittently enjoying a conversation with a fellow student, and still managing to get homework done!.

However, benefits present themselves at the library; according to this same student, "it can be good for group projects," because of the rooms, video spaces, and enclosed presentation areas provided for Tech students. Other resources are it's, well, books. It's a library, so of course there are books, but one doesn't always need books to study, sometimes, all you need is your laptop, a friend, and a cup of coffee. Even if you do need a text book or two, it's not that difficult to walk to Tech-Square with one. You can even think of it as a work out! :)

Bottom line, the library may have incredible resources that would be great to use in the case of projects; but if you're going for straight up homework and studying, Starbucks is the place to be.

But for me, Starbucks is the place to be...
